Robot Site Map

This is an XML site map designed to be used by search engine bots.  This site map helps the bots find and index all of your site.

If you use a WordPress Google site map plug in, it will update the site map and  notify Google every time you make a change to your site.

Bing and Yahoo also use this same site map protocol.

So it is very important that your blog have an XML site map.

Robot.txt

This is a text file that instructs the bots where to search and where not to search.  This is important if you have pages that you don't want people to search and find.  Pages such as your download page for a product.  If this page is indexed, everyone will be able to search and find it without paying.

Again there are plugins for WordPress you can use to create this file and edit it easily.

So get your robot.txt file up and running as soon as possible to protect your special pages.
