Is your business already listed online? Do you know? How do you find out?

These are all good questions as a business owner you need answers to. Because if you did not set up the listing, is the information correct? Are the links back to your site or someone else's?

Do a search for your business in your favorite browser. Enclose your business name in quotes (""). Now search and check the results. Are you there? As the owner can you claim that listing as yours? Can you correct or add to the listing?

If you can claim the listing you can probably make changes and additions. You want to be sure the information is up to date and correct.

Be sure to check Google Maps for your business listing. Google Maps will use other sources for its listings. But you can easily claim your listing to correct and add to it.

If you business is not found online you need to add it as soon as you can.
